Museums
are fascinating repositories of the natural and cultural history
of our country. The St. Boniface Museum mounted a display
describing all the churches that have stood on the site of the famous
Basilica since 1818. Hardwood floors were restored at the
Hillcrest Museum. The remaining museums are conducting feasibility
studies relating to new facilities.
Bethlehem
offers a variety of social services to the people of the Burrows
neighbourhood in North Winnipeg. Its historic building is
getting a new roof.
The
Centre occupies the historic CPR station, and provides space for
many aboriginal groups from which to deliver their services.
This grant helped to improve the building's energy efficiency. |
