Portage Collegiate Institute 3,000 The students at PCI have established an archive of rare photographs from the local newspaper. This award purchased equipment. Riverton Transportation and Heritage Centre 10,000 Pembina Threshermen�s Museum, Winkler 5,000 Western Canada Aviation Museum, Winnipeg 10,000 These museums preserve and interpret our fascinating history. Grants were for capital projects. St. Luke Anglican Church, Winnipeg 4,500 St. Luke houses a mural painted by Frank Johnston (Group of Seven) which commemorates the service of the Winnipeg Grenadiers in World War I. These funds helped restore the mural. Western Canada Pictorial Index, Winnipeg 10,000 The index preserves historic photos depicting many facets of life in western Canada. This grant helped to sustain the agency. Costume Museum of Canada, Dugald 3,922 This fascinating museum is located on an acreage. A new garden tractor, purchased with this grant, will help to maintain the park-like setting. Ski Manitoba Historical Publication Society, Winnipeg 2,000 The Society was helped to publish a history book on skiing in Manitoba. Mennonite Heritage Centre, Winnipeg 6,000 The Centre’s mandate is to collect, preserve and interpret records and documents related to the Mennonite Community. This grant helped acquire a compact shelving system.
