Red River Basin Commission $5,000

The Commission concerns itself with the health of the Red River and its tributaries.  Members are located in Canada and the U.S.A.  This grant helped to fund its annual international conference.

 

St. Leon Interpretive Centre $40,000

This grant, payable over 2 years, will help develop galleries focussed on the Tiger Salamander, wind farms and bird migration.

 

International Institute for Sustainable Development, Winnipeg $3,000

The IISD is studying the challenge of "peak phosporous" and what its understanding can mean for the eutrophication of lakes like Lake Winnipeg.  Research was partly funded with this grant.
