Nature Conservancy of Canada $10,000 The NCC protects ecologically significant natural areas by acquiring the land or by negotiating conservation easements with the owners. This grant will help to acquire aspen parkland in western Manitoba. Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society 5,000 The Manitoba chapter of CPAWS undertakes a ParksWatch program which monitors the state of our provincial parks. The program was assisted with this grant. Manitoba Eco-Network, Winnipeg 10,000 The MEN seeks to develop awareness concerning the conservation and enhancement of the environment. This grant helped to develop a Geographic Information Systems Mapping Centre for use by the public.
