Jobworks, Winnipeg $10,000

Students at Jobworks are given a second chance to earn a high school diploma.  A new science laboratory is being developed to complete the curriculum offered at Jobworks.

Fieldstone Ventures Education and Training Centre, Ashern $5,000

This adult learning centre is a partnership with the local school division.  Improvements have been made to its premises.

Western Manitoba Regional Library, Hartney $10,000

South Interlake Regional Library, Teulon $15,000

Libraries are sources of education and recreation for everyone.  The WMRL is opening a new branch in Hartney and the SIRL is expanding its branch in Teulon.

Selkirk & District Community Learning Centre $10,000

A computer lending library will help residents of Selkirk and Point Douglas (Winnipeg) acquire computer literacy skills.

Winnipeg Adult Education Centre $10,000

Historic Isbister School houses the Centre.  A dedicated literacy classroom is being constructed wih the help of this grant.

West Region Child and Family Services, Erickson $10,000

Career Trek, under the auspices of West Region CFS, is delivering a program to help Aboriginal children aspire to complete high school and to acquire marketable skills.
