Dr. Jessie Saulteaux Resource Centre,Beausejour $10,000 The Centre trains aboriginal theology students and offers cross-training to non-natives. Various capital projects on the campus were supported by this grant. Lord Selkirk School Division, Selkirk 10,000 Lockport School, which is used extensively by the public in non-school hours, received this award to help buy a portable stage. WEC Resources, Winnipeg 19,075 WEC is establishing an education program for community economic development which will train students who otherwise would have difficulty acquiring such skills. This grant partly funded the program. Eriksdale Public Library 3,000 This award helped the Eriksdale Public Library acquire new software and a barcode scanner. Winnipeg School Division 6,875 Hugh John MacDonald School teaches a food preparation course to its junior high students. This grant was used to purchase a stove, dishwasher and mixmaster. Red River College, Winnipeg 150,000 Payable over three years, this award has helped to develop the Princess Street Campus of the College. Red River is the second largest post-secondary school in Manitoba.
