Royal Winnipeg Ballet $10,000

This grant will help the world famous RWB purchase a portable sprung floor that will be used for touring shows.

Mentoring Artists for Women's Art, Winnipeg $10,000

MAWA is establishing a mentoring program for rural, northern and Aboriginal women.  This award will help get the program operational.

West End Cultural Centre, Winnipeg $10,000

The WECC has acquired property for parking and expansion.  It was partly funded with this grant.

Manitoba Writer's Guild $5,000

The Guild promotes the art of writing.  A classroom is being developed for educational purposes. Renovation costs were assisted with the award.
 

 

  

 

Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba, Brandon $1,856

A new security system was partly funded for rural Manitoba's largest art gallery.

Shakespeare-in-the-Ruins, Winnipeg $10,000

SIR is embarking on a pilot project, with the help of this award, to bring Shakespearean theatre to public schools.

 

Flin Flon Arts Council  $10,000

The Council provides opportunities for the people of Flin Flon to enjoy cultural activites.  This grant helped to purchase sound and lighting equipment.

Barrows Community Council  $5,000

A new sound system for use by the people of Barrows has been acquired with the help of this award.
